The Ransom Notes is an award winning all gender a cappella group at UChicago

Since our founding, we have:

• Released 7 studio albums (the three most recent of which you can find on Spotify and iTunes) and several singles

• Competed in the ICCA almost every year, winning many awards in the process

• Performed at conferences, festivals, engagements, weddings, galas, and more

• Gone on many tours, both around the country and abroad

In the past few years alone, we have:

• Performed at the ICCA Finals and won multiple awards for Best Arrangement, Best Vocal Percussion, Best Soloist, and Best Choreography

• Placed 1st the ICCA Great Lakes Quarterfinal in 2022

• Toured New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Cleveland, New Orleans, and Nashville, hosting vocal workshops and performing

• Released our 7th studio album, "Built to Last,” and our 2nd EP, “quit,” in addition to several acclaimed singles including “TAKE WHAT YOU WANT” and “SAVIOR COMPLEX”

• Produced award-winning music videos while social distancing during quarantine

• Had several songs featured on "Voices Only” and “BOCA", compilation albums featuring the best of collegiate a cappella.

• Won a CARA award for “Best Rock Song” for our performance of “The Chain”
